Nevada City, Grass Valley, Rough & Ready and Penn Valley are the four major communities that make up the bustling hub of Western Nevada County.  The town centers are situated approximately four to six miles apart, and are located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, sixty miles northeast of Sacramento, CA.
